Domesticated Goat (Capra aegagrus hircus)
Flameworked and fused glass, plastic, metal.
At the beginning of the twentieth century goat carts were a popular novelty for children across the United States. Both rich and poor families often owned a goat cart or carriage for their children’s amusement. Goats are among the earliest animals domesticated by humans and although it is assumed that a goat will eat anything, they are actually quite picky eaters. Goats, being curious and intelligent will taste and nibble the inedible but will not eat a tin can or a gun.
