Desert Blossom

This piece is a collaboration by husband and wife, Grant and Erin Garmezy
Materials/techniques used include hot sculpted furnace glass, lampworked borosilicate glass, and electroplated copper.
Grant and Erin are interested in honoring the complex relationship between flora and fauna, as in nature they are simultaneously supported and destroyed by one another. In their collaborative work, Erin and Grant explore the cycle of life and death/ growth and decay.
