Ebb and flow

The piece is composed entirely of borosilicate glass & crushed opal. Like the ebb and flow of glass when being worked, the wavelike movement of the Gold-speckled Flatworm (Thysanozoon nigropapillosum) is what truly inspired me to replicate this life form. The techniques which were used in the creation correspond to the same notion.
