This is my rendition of the Eastern Prickly Pear cactus (Opuntia humifusa). It was created in borosilicate glass, via lampworking. The grreen is created by applying powder to clear glass tubes. The red parts are hand striped tubing. With brown frit applied, its base gives the impression of earth. The natural beauty of a glass cactus is sure to bring warmth into your home as it adorns your daily life.
